Great Alternatives to IPE Decking are now available!
Both Cumaru & Amazon Cherry woods are fire rated as concrete and steel and are
natural insect resistant woods and great alternatives to IPE as they both meet IPE properties and qualities. Of course we still offer IPE Decking. These woods are naturally resistant to all weather elements, but we recommend an Oil Based UV Sealant protectant to preserve your woods beautiful and natural color. If  left untreated your woods will also give you a wonderful grey weathered patina just like IPE.

Garapa Sun Decking- A great Light Colored Alternative to IPE with the same Properties

Garapa Sun Deck with its Honey Gold Look is the Hot New Choice for Exotic Decking and for your Clients! Garapa Sun Decking features a light yellow to golden brown color range and is an extremely durable South American hardwood. It has incredible strength and natural resistance to decay, rot, insect damage (marine boring worms & termites). Its fire rating makes it a perfect wood for long-life exterior decking, docks, benches and bridges. Truly a great alternative to IPE!  

Garapa Sun Decking boasts a fire rating of Class A, the same as concrete or steel just like IPE. For strength, hardness and durability Garapa Sun Decking has been proven in demanding commercial and residential applications. Available S4S/E4E in 5/4 x 6 and 1 x 6 Clear Grades with Great length Tallies. We can also manufacture to your specifications directly from our Peruvian Mill.
